Our Story

Hello! We are Dean and Amanda and we make up the entire 2-person busienss of Mike and Jen's Cocoa based in Duluth, MN. You might be wondering, who are Mike and Jen? Well, those are Dean's kids who helped found our little company back in 2012. 

It all began back in 2012, when Mike and Jen were just 9 and 11, hand mixing & packaging our mix at a local church basement. We attended MANY local art fairs and markets and soon Mike and Jen's was carried in a handful of local gift shops. By 2016, our family cocoa mix was available in 10 local Duluth, MN stores including our local grocery store. (we thought we were a pretty big deal!)

We knew it was time to expand. Both Amanda and Dean left their multi decade careers (both Meteorologsits at the National Weather Service) and went ALL-IN for Cocoa!! Fast forward, we sell over 100,000 lbs of Mike and Jen's Cocoa each year and can be found in over 1000 stores across the country; Including Target, COSTCO, Meijer, Hy-Vee and many more.

Mike and Jen's Cocoa  is made with 5 simple, high-quality ingredients, you can feel good about. The only cocoa mix that uses a base of high-quality whole milk powder, so you just add water! Whether you're craving a rich, creamy cup of hot cocoa or want to turn your coffee into the perfect mocha, our mix makes it easy and delicious—every time.

Calling all coffee enthusiasts! NEW this year, we have intorduced the Mike and Jen's MOCHA LATTE! You can now create Mocha PERFECTION by simply adding water to our NEW Mocha Latte sticks! Enjoy the classic Mike and Jen's Cocoa mix, now enhanced with instant espresso! Each convenient pouch delivers a single serving of Mocha Latte—just add water and enjoy on the go!
